Wedge Anchors
These are the most popular for fastening concrete owing to their exceptional strength. Wedge anchors resemble sleeve anchors but have a smaller sleeve near their bottom compared to the latter. When installing a wedge anchor, a hole measuring the same diameter as the anchor is first drilled with the material being fastened to the concrete on the exposed part. You will then place your washer and thread a fastener to the anchor. As you tighten your washer, it will start pulling up the anchor and result in a wedge skirting around your structure.
